Enhancing students’ employability skills awareness through the accounting professional body on an undergraduate accounting degree

Whilst there is an array of literature written about students’ skills development, a gap between development and what students can learn through membership professional accounting bodies. This study examines how being connected with body, the Association Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) from outset their degree helps awareness developing employability via belonging to profession. Using online questionnaire, focus group meetings, email reminders ACCA services offered, findings show that student begins help identify profession brings planning both technical skills, assisting them in entry world work. The results this research illuminate importance integrating into curriculum so early career they have chosen.
